Prints, prints, prints!

The end of the print trend doesn’t seem to be approaching anytime soon and I love it.

A few days after her sister Solange pulled of an amazing printed look, Bey opted to step out to the Nets opener in a Tibi ‘fit.

I usually don’t find shows that keep my interest outside of my Modern Family, Happy Endings, Parks & Recreation & Up All Night. Let me just tell you that The Mindy Project has exceeded my expectations and is filled with witty writing and comedic storytelling.

In addition to that, Mindy’s STYLE is superb…I have been meaning to look up the wardrobe stylist on the show, because they deserve major kudos.

The British-Nigerian designer has teamed up with affordable retailer JC Penney, and is making his ‘oh so fab’ designs accessible to non-trust fund babies.

The designer has curated a collection, which is set to hit stores in March 2013. The capsule i snot limited to apparel, but will include accessories, stationery, dinnerware and home decor. The collection will range from $10 – $100. Can we say excited?

He, in return sent me a spoken word piece that paid tribute to the 90s that I am currently in awe with.

I’m not the biggest fan of spoken word, because nine times out of ten if there is no beat attached that I can nod my head to, I’m headed to sleep. I truly enjoyed this artists work, and will be on the lookout for more.

As we celebrate the Feast of Sacrifice and put on our newest of threads, I wish I could be back home witnessing a “rightful slaughter” of one of my grandmothers’ goats to mark the occasion.

I’m excited to see friends & family, especially the children.

Also, with all of the madness in the world it’s nice to have some universal solidarity among Muslims.

I personally look forward to the day I make Hajj, but until then Saudi Arabia needs to consider lifting the ban on non-Muslims visiting Mecca. As I learn lessons from those I love, Muslim or non-Muslim, they do the same.

Brandy really came correct with her latest album. I was a little skeptical as she has been good about dropping albums with a few decent singles, but nothing that I would consider to be a classic. I’m still a few plays away from loving Two Eleven, but it is a strong release. A standout track of mine is Do You Know What You’ve Got?
